How to connect a domain to hosting?

In order for a website to be displayed online when a domain is accessed, that domain must be added to the hosting account. This action establishes the link between the domain and the space on the server where your website's files are stored.

Steps to add a domain in cPanel:

  1. Log in to cPanel using the login credentials provided by your hosting provider.

  2. Navigate to Domains in the Domains section.

    cPanel Domains button

  3. From the Domains page, click on the Create A New Domain button, where you will enter the domain.

  4. Next, insert the domain and uncheck the Share document root option. It is recommended to leave the rest of the fields as default unless your website has some special configuration requirements.

  6. After the domain is added, you can upload your website files to the folder indicated in the “Document Root” (e.g., public_html/example.com).
